Where do I sign up?
What are the costs?
Costs are subject to change each season but don’t change by much.
Player Registration:
$45 per season
This is paid to Active once by every player at the start of each season and covers your share of the team registration fee, administration fees, and season-long jersey hire. Once you let us know you’re keen to join, we’ll send you info on how to pay this through a unique registration link, as well as the other fees below.
Weekly game fee:
$15 per player
Paid before your game each week (“no pay, no play”). Payment is made through an app called “Teampay”. You’ll have a captain for your team who will organise this with you. This occasionally changes season-to-season.
Basketball Victoria Participant Licence (yearly):
$48 (ages over 18) / $34 (ages under 18)
Direct to Basketball Victoria (BV) for insurance. If you have already paid this in another team (even if it’s at another association), you won’t have to pay this. If this is new to you, it’ll be applied automatically as you go to register to the team itself (before your first game). PlayHQ will remember your details and the fee covers you for the whole year (two seasons). BV may change their fees by a few dollars each year.
Basketball Australia Participant Fee (yearly):
$5.50
Direct to Basketball Australia. If you have already paid this in another association, you won’t have to pay this again. If this is new to you, it’ll be applied automatically as you go to register to the team itself (before your first game). PlayHQ will remember your details and the fee covers you for the whole year (two seasons). This may or may not coincide with the insurance fee (depending on when you pay that yearly) and will be charged to you at the start of the next season when required. It may increase slightly; this number is our most recent intel.
What comps do you have?
Wednesday Night Mixed
There is a maximum of 3 males on the court at a time per team. You can have more men in the team as substitutes.
Players must be at least 15 years old before the date of the first game.
What & where is the assoc.?
We play with Frankston Basketball Association.
Since they are undergoing renovations, the venues for the games may change. Once you’re in a team, you’ll have access to a fixture, which will show you all future game times and locations.

No experience needed! Team work makes the dream work, and you’ll have fun regardless of your history playing basketball.
You’ll have a group chat for your team, and they’ll be able to help you get into the swing of things.
